New home!!

Well, we found a new place!! We are moving into a very nice 4 bedroom 3.5 bath townhouse! We primed and painted Brogan's room last week and are going to start taking some loads over this weekend! We are so excited! Now everyone will have their own room! Including my mom when she comes to visit! I just can't wait to get in there to decorate!

Well, I haven't blogged in forever! Pretty much because I'm on Facebook all the time :) But I thought I'd pick back up!

So much has changed in about 8 months!! Brogan had his little surgery on his neck to have a cyst removed. It was very well and he did great!! Then I had surgery on my nose to have my deviated septum fixed, that went well as far as the surgery part goes, but I think I am worse now. Patrick and I are pretty sure there is something in our apartment that is causing me to be so miserable. I am unable to really do much right now though because we found out that we are pregnant!! We are expecting a girl September 3rd! However I will be having another c-saection so I'm hoping for an August 27th delivery! We are so excited!

We also just celebrated Ava's 3rd birthday March 25th. We had some very dear friends of ours come to the cemetery to wish her a happy birthday. It was very bittersweet.

Everything else is going pretty well. We are currently looking for a different apartment hoping to alleviate some allergy issues and add another bedroom for the baby!

We have been trying to take advantage of the beautiful end of summer/beginning of fall weather here in Colorado. Fall is the best, but it doesn't last very long. We love going to the park and walking around. Brogan is still a little unsure about the slide and the swing...he likes them but at a conservative height and speed! It's really cute! The last picture I threw in because I thought it was cute that Brogan sits exactly like Patrick! They are such little body clones!

Once again, we had family dance night. This happens about twice a week and it's so much fun! Brogan is really starting to come up with new moves! I love it! What a little stud muffin!

Brogie got his first haircut this weekend!! The baby mullet had to go, it wasn't curling any more :( . He was a pretty good boy although he was a little wiggly! He went through 2 suckers and a mouth full of hair! Our little boy is growing up! I can't believe it.

It has made us much stronger as a couple and has inspired us to be better people! I love my husband with all of my heart and he makes me so happy! I am so proud of the man he has become and is still becoming every day!

Well, once again we had a terrific time in Florida visiting a bunch of family! Brogan received his first set of Mickey ears from his Papa and Bobbita! He also visited the beach to play and eat the sand!

Brogan was so entertained for 2 weeks!! He learned how to say uh-oh, cat, dog and show how a choo-choo train goes!

So Thursday was Ava's 2nd birthday...She would have been a beautiful little toddler girl hoping around with her curly hair. We miss her so much! She was so beautiful. We brought her a cake with a little butterfly and 2 pink sparkly candles. We lit the candles and sang happy birthday, then held the cake in the air for her to blow them out, she did! We all made handprints in the snow including Brogie. It was really cute!

We are so excited! We just got our tickets to go to Florida this year! We are going to Orlando and Bradenton in April! Oh and a special trip for Mommy & Daddy to see Mickey Mouse and Figment! (Epcot & Magic Kingdom) We went back in 2007 when we first got engaged and it was one of the most wonderful times we have ever had together!! We are hoping for great weather!! Can't wait!!

Well, the big birthday weekend has come and gone and boy what a weekend! We all had a great time! (I am still trying to recover! I am still pooped out!) Brogan is finally one! I still can't believe it. He is such an amazing little guy! Patrick threw me the coolest birthday party with ALL of my friends at this dance club called Wicked Garden! Very VIP! He also surprised me by having my mom, dad, brother, his new fiance Anya and cousin Erin fly in. It was so great celebrating with everyone!

Here are some pictures of Brogan's birthday party at Gymboree. He was so cute there climbing and crawling on everything with all of his little friends! He was so cute eating his cake and let me tell you how cute it was coming out (the same color) oh to be a mommy!

Bittersweet Birthday...

The thought of Brogan's first birthday in 4 days is very bittersweet. I am so happy and excited that he is growing up but so sad that he will not be a newborn anymore. He is able to say mama, dada, baba, Hi and part of the word book (he says ook) He can wave, clap, drum on his belly and shake his head yes and no. He is almost walking, I say by 13 months. And he dances on demand! It's the cutest thing. He's such a sweet and well behaved little guy and I love him so very much. He has the best attitude and is so easygoing just like his daddy! We always have so much fun everyday! I feel so blessed for this past year. I love my life and I love my family.

As I also head towards the next year in my life in a week I look forward to growing another year wiser and looking another year younger! I have been taking much better care of my self by cutting out soda, alcohol and tanning as well as eating better and adding some sort of exercise to my daily regimen. I am already starting to feel great as I have lost 20lbs since I started in August! I have my 10 year high school reunion coming up this summer so I have even more reason to get my A game on! I HAVE to look and feel my best and am very determined!

I hope everyone else is having a great year so far and continues to have a blessed one keeping you and yours safe and healthy.

We were reorganizing the storage closet tonight and Brogan found the tennis balls, so we took a little detour on our way to the bath to play! Brogan is starting to stand on his own and it's so cute. He is such a little stud muffin and such a good baby...Less than one month away from his first birthday and we are so excited! I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. And what an amazing year it has been. I feel so blessed! I love my family and I am so happy!!

We had our first night away from Brogan while he stayed at Grandma & Grandpa's house. Patrick and I went to The Hornet to celebrate my best friend Katie's birthday! We had a very nice time, but we were very done by 10:30pm! :) We had a great night at home just the 2 of us! We are so old!

We also set up all the Christmas decor last night since we are going to be hosting Thanksgiving, we thought it would make it a little more cosy! We are very excited for this Christmas since last year was emotionally rough for us. This is the family Christmas we have been waiting for! I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We have been having a great time with Bobbita! Bobbita has been teaching Brogan how to dance, wave, kiss and touch his nose! He has been pulling himself up to stand on everything! This past weekend I helped my sister-in-law Samantha and 2 of her friends get ready for their Homecoming by doing their hair and make up.

This weekend was also Brogan's NICU Graduation Brunch @ Skyridge Medical Center. It was so nice to see all of the wonderful nurses that took such great care of Brogan and Ava!

Brogan successfully made it through another plane ride without driving anyone crazy!! He was a great little guy! We also had a wonderful time meeting with old friends from when I was little and their husbands! We also went to go see the old house I grew up in and my old stomping grounds!! We even found a James Coney Island!! Holy hotdog! It was so yummy!!!! Brogan got to go swimming for the second time. This time around was much better, the indoor pool at our hotel was heated and no one was there. So we had a whole pool to ourselves! yay!

My cousin finally got to meet her little Godbaby Brogan!!! We were ALL so excited and had an awesome time! Grandma Bobbita was visiting too and just loves seeing her grandbaby!! Bobbita stayed home to watch Brogan while the big kids went out to play. I think it was our 3rd time away from Brogan but we had fun! Then on Sunday, we went to Barracuda's, a Sunday tradition, for $2 mimosa's and eggs benedict. It was all so much fun!!

Still truckin' along with my school work. I am almost done with week 4!! Yea! Almost a whole month of school out of the way. I am really trying to take it one day at a time. I know sometimes I get discouraged when it's time to start my homework, but I really do find it all very interesting when I start getting into the assignment. I am really enjoying school.

Patrick is back in his classes as well doing great! He will be getting his Associates Degree about 6 months sooner than me! So we will be job searching together I suppose.

Brogan is great!! He is doing so well on eating is solids! He loves carrots, sweet potatoes and squash. He is a little unsure about the green beans and sweet peas. He hates the rice cereal, but really needs to eat it, he makes the most disgusted faces! But they are soo darn cute! I think we are going to need to try adding a little applesauce to his cereal to get him to eat it. We will see.

Grandma Bobbita (my mom) and Godmommy Erin (my cousin) will be coming for a visit coincidentally on the same last weekend in July! We are all so excited for their arrival! This will be Erin's first time seeing Baby Brogan and my mom's 3rd. I know they are both very eager to see the little guy and I know he is excited too!

So we decided not to continue our website, www.avamonroeelliott.com because of the rising costs and the decreased income :( however I have been blogging much more here because I can access it directly. So I will add some Ava photos here :) We went to go see our little girl today and it was very emotional. I still have my moments when I ask God why, why us? Why our little girl? And I usually try to tell myself that I think he knew he was going to need our Ava for something special and that's why he gave us Brogan so quickly afterwards. His daily laughs and smiles are what brings myself and I know Patrick as well, so much happiness that we have been lacking this past year. I sometimes still don't understand why children have to die, they are not supposed to. I was walking through the "Little Angels" lot, where Ava is buried, looking at all the precious babies and children that rest there and just got a punch in the gut, as I had felt before. It's just not fair and I still feel like I have my qualms with God. Sometimes all I know is that I miss my little baby Ava and wish she was still here. We are lucky to have our Brogan though, both of our children are such a blessing to us.

*I am sad to announce that our sweet baby Ava peacefully passed away in her daddy's arms Saturday April 5th 2008 at 1:52am. She was beautiful and we love her and miss her dearly.

*Just wanted to let everyone know that little Ava Monroe was born March 25th 2008 at 6:51pm by c section. She weighed 4 lbs 13 oz. She is very tiny and very cute and we love her so much.

Tragically, Ava was diagnosed with a heart defect and Trisomy-18, or Edwards Syndrome, which is a rare genetic disorder that is fatal, and its victims typically only live a few days. Very few people even know about this disease and there is no cure... there is no way to prevent it... and 1 in up to 8,000 babies suffer from this rare disease: http://www. trisomy18. org.

Patrick and I are praying now for time with Ava. The hospital decided that her quality of life was most important now, so they have taken her off her monitors and sent us home. We have a hospice nurse that will be coming to out to check her every day.

Last weekend we went to Frisco, CO for the 16th annual BBQ Competition, although we weren't there very long because we got rained out, we had a great time! And it was delicious! I also waited in a line, in the rain, for 30 minutes for this delicious funnel cake! haha! Super fun!

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived.

Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but they had no luck.

We're told one of the staff members at Jackson's home called 911.

LaToya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead.

Here is Brogan in his new chair. He really loves sitting up now! It's so cute!! And he loves to play with his cloth diapers, although mommy was playing here!! :)

Back to the Real World

After a wonderful and much needed vacation to Florida we are back home and getting back to normal life! My back is feeling a little better and I will be starting Physical Therapy to strengthen my back. I think being pregnant 2 times in a row really weakened my back.

We are at the end of official day 1 here in Anna Maria Island, Florida @ The Beautiful Amorous Humphrey Plugg Beach House!!! We had a great day of sunshine, with just a little bit of morning rain! Grandpa Poppy and his super sweet girlfriend Stephanie and her kids all got to meet Brogan. They just loved him, but come on, I mean who wouldn't? He's super awesome! hehe! Brogan did great on both flights we were so proud!!!

In the Hospital!

And here I am now just 2 days before we leave for beautiful Florida :( Sunday afternoon I was cleaning the house and rearranging furniture when I decided to crack my back like I always do. So I did then I leaned over to clean off a table and I felt like I had been shot in my back. The pain rediated all through my body and I fell to all fours. Patrick helped me fall to my chest and then eventually rolled me over. I figured out that I could not move so we had to call 911. They came and scooped me up and

took my to the hospital. Aparently I have a bulging disk that I pinched. 2 days later I am still here waiting for the physical therapist. I will be ok, just super stiff! Thank God for Grandma Elliott is staying with little Brogan!! I love you mom!

Tooth update and Florida!!

So, I went to the dentist yesterday and found out I have to get my first root canal. :( They even tried to do it yesterday, but my tooth wouldn't numb, so I have to take an antibiotic and go back Monday...pooooo. At least I am getting it done before our Florida trip!!! Yeah!! Brogan has been getting ready for Florida, he is very excited! We leave May 22nd and come home May 30th!

Pain in the Mouth

Uggg...stupidly I let a cavity go...and go..and go...and now??? I am paying for it! I have to go to the dentist tomorrow to get it checked out, I am in so much pain that even my hair hurts! I will NEVER let this happen again. Yowza! :(

I have recetly felt the urge to blog again...so here I go... :) Today is Monday May 5th! Beginning of another week! My family is great! I had a wonderful weekend with a trip to the 2nd annual Colorado Chocolate Festival on Saturday and Breakfast in bed for Mother's Day! It was great! Picture above is with the fabulous Willy Wonka!

We had a very nice Easter! The Easter Bunny came for Daddy, Brogan and Ava!! We visited Ava to give her her Easter basket with Grandma Bobbita. It was a very cold day, but overall very nice!
